Two Twilight Stars to be in Catherine Hardwicke’s Hamlet Redux?
Two of the actors from Twilight auditioned for roles in Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke’s upcoming modernized adaptation of Hamlet. Catherine won’t spill the beans on who, but she notes–
“We’re shooting at the same time as ‘Eclipse,’ ” Hardwicke explained. “So it has to be people with smaller parts [in that film], so that they can sneak over and do ours.”
Hardwicke also added that her Shakesperean stars could be “somebody who’s already been killed [in the 'Twilight' films by 'Eclipse'],” she explained, responding to a question about whether the dearly departed Cam Gigandet could be one of her candidates. “Exactly.

Catherine Hardwicke Reveals the Finalists for Edward Cullen
The Twilight Lexicon is at a convention right now in Arizona with Edi Gathegi and Catherine Harwicke. They have been tweeting from the Q&A session and Catherine finally revealed the finalists for the role of Edward Cullen..

Catherine Hardwicke and Twilight have made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
According to an article at Reuters,
“Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, has captured the hearts and wallets of millions while claiming the record for “Highest-Grossing Movie By A Female Director”.

Catherine Hardwicke and 'If I Stay' discussed by screenwriter
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has five in-progress productions in the works, including the book-to-screen adaptation of Gayle Forman's If I Stay with Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment.
The book, which chronicles the out-of-body experience that protagonist Mia - a musician - has following a brutal car accident, all takes place during the span of a single day, with intermittent time warps and re-lived recollections throughout.
Like most of Hardwicke's many projects, the film is sure to be extremely emotional and teen-centric.
Like with Twilight, there is likely some innate difficulty in bringing this first-person narrative to script, but Shauna Cross, who recently did an interview with Collider.com, seems fairly confident in the production she and Hardwicke are putting together. "Catherine Hardwicke is directing it. We’re just about to go to cast and it’s a pretty special project. It’s kind of…it’s got an edge to it and it’s funny and heartbreaking and it’s a little Lovely Bones-esque. There is definitely a lot of humor in there, but it’s definitely more dramatic than I’ve done before. It’s been an amazing experience and it’s an incredible story."
Hardwicke, in addition to If I Stay, is also slated to direct Hamlet, The Monkey Wrench Gang, Maximum Ride, and The Girl With The Red Riding Hood. According to Cross, production schedules "depend[] on which lands first," but she "know[s] Hamlet means a lot to" Hardwicke as well.
If I Stay, you might recall, was one of the projects that Hardwicke mentioned wanting to work with Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart with on.

Twilight Director Catherine Hardwicke Confirms Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s Romance?
After pictures of them almost holding hands at an airport surfaced earlier this week, the furor over Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s possible offscreen romance has been reignited. Catherine Hardwicke, the director for the first Twilight move, fans the flames in a recent interview, implying Stewart has finally decided to “give this a go” with Pattinson. "After I cast him, I told Rob, Don't even think about having a romance with her. She's under 18. You will be arrested," Hardwicke told TIME in a recent article on the Twilight phenomenon. Pattinson and Stewart first met when the British actor flew to Los Angeles to test for the role of Edward Cullen- a role both Hardwicke and Stewart lobbied for him to get. "I didn't have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say," Hardwicke continued about their time together shooting the first installment of the franchise. "But in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn't happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film.” However, the chemistry was clear from the start and it seemed like a romance with Pattinson was only a matter of time.
Hardwick added, “I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person."
ok we know Catherine is very airy-fairy...but honestly...could she have been THIS bold?* if so then...of course...Kristen was still with Michael while filming Twilight and I thought in New Moon as well...he visited her on set and we saw them out and about* Naughty...*

I think Catherine has a big mouth. True or not, obviously Kristen and Robert are not talking about this. What right does Catherine have to? Mind your own business. I think its bad enough that all of Robert and Kristen's friends and castmates are constantly being asked about it, don't freaking answer.

I remember there was a video from an event where she literally almost just said it like that...come on woman...filter and use that blond head of yours...or just stop smoking pot so often*

This is from a recycled interview or two. Catherine has always gone on and on about Robert and Kristen's chemistry and how great it is! While I agree that they do have on screen chemistry together I don't think it's enough to go on and on about as she does.
Not to mention, but as Kristen was supposed to have this amazing draw to Robert, I guess Catherine forgot that she was with Michael!! I think her comment of not having a camera in the hotel room was rather rude and she paints Kristen in a bad light by saying all of this. Unintentional I'm sure, but it's still out there.
She made these kinds of comments all throughout Twilight filming as well as the Press Junkets. IMO, it's nothing more than movie promotion at it's best. Of course, she is going to keep it up in light of the pictures of the "hands almost holding" this week.
